Tokyo, Japan – Tsunami waves from the deadly 8.8-magnitude earthquake in Chile started hitting the Japanese coast Sunday, but the initial ones did not appear large enough to cause damage.

An earthquake hit central Chile early Saturday measuring 8.8 on Richter Scale and lasted for about one and a half minute and set off a tsunami.
